This is a new form of control for pot plants and ideal for conservatory or heated greenhouse plants. It claims to give control for up to 2 to 3 months for Mealy Bug, Scale, Greenfly and Whitefly through via systemic action and proved quite effective in our own trials. We now use it for particular stock plants that we need to keep clean on a long term basis.

Cheshunt Compound - 170gm Tin

Contains copper sulphate and ammonium carbonate. Traditional soluble powder fungicide that prevents damping off disease in seedlings.

You should not be without these in your greenhouse as protection from overheating in strong sunlight and to increase ventilation whenever possible. (Please Note not suitable for heavy wooden window frames).

This wonderful new product is a transparent, homogeneous gel, formulated for the rooting of softwood cuttings. The product provides a clean, simple and reliable environment and eliminates the need for rooting powder, watering and feeding. Developing roots are clearly visible and potting on is at your convenience since rooted cuttings will survive for long periods in the gel. A sterile environment is a key parameter for many tropical softwood cuttings, perfectly created by using this product which also includes a rooting hormone for vigorous rooting.

Can be injected into any normal seed tray, cell type plastic inserts with a clear propagator lid or use a small glass or plastic container. Keep the cuttings out of the sun but in a warm light position.

This product works both systemically and on contact, making it efficient in controlling Greenfly, Blackfly, Whitefly, Woolly Aphids, Mealy Bug, Scale Insect, Lily Beetle, Thrips and Red Spider Mite. Apply when you notice the pests; it gives protection for up to eight weeks. We find it excellent for whitefly, scale and mealy bug but not so effective for spider mite. 99% of the plants we grow are tolerant of this product without burning or curling of the leaves.

Based on many years of experience you normally only need small seed containers for initial germination in a propagator. For growing plants in larger quantities of course normal half or full size seed trays are ideal but for smaller quantities try using these clear polypropylene containers.

• A normal full size 38cm seed tray will house 8 of these containers maximising your heated space.
• They have the advantage of being able to see any initial roots through the clear sides and base.
• They can be removed individually as soon as plants are too large, ready for pricking out.
• Each container can be easily turned around if the seedlings are bending one way towards the light.
• The low height is sufficient for initial root development but maximises growing height within a propagator lid.
