Our Hemerocallis roots are beginning to grow quite significantly now and with the warmer weather approaching it is an ideal time for planting these for a mid summer display. To help us move these plants while in such an excellent condition we are offering a Spring 50% sale on all Hemerocallis varieties.

We have added a considerable number of exotic, unusual and quality vegetable seeds to our Web Site since the Catalogue was produced and now is the time to start thinking about sowing crops for summer and autumn harvest. We have also tried to acquire organic vegetable seeds wherever possible. We carry all of the normal vegetable seeds you would expect from Artichokes to Tomatoes most of which have been chosen for something unusual but also based on my own 30 years experience of growing our own vegetables. The list though also includes some really unusual items to tempt you both hardy and some from warmer climates that we have been testing out in the UK.

Spring 50% Sale - Hemerocallis, Hedychiums and "In the Green" Colchicum bulbs
Before the hot weather arrives it is a perfect time for planting some of our bulbs, rhizomes and roots. In particular we are offering all Hemerocallis and Colchicum bulbs at 50% off to encourage you to plant them now!
We also still have quite a few Bat Plant Roots for sale if anyone is interested in acquiring one of these unusual plants.
I have had a number of phone calls about Ginger roots taking a while to start growing, but this is quite normal with some taking many months to get going. My advice would be to get these planted as early as possible in heat for larger plants this year. To encourage an early start for these fabulous exotic plants we are offering them at 50% off in our Spring Sale.

We will be getting ready to start shipping a few plant orders in April, but this depends on many factors: The plants are ready to go (most though will be in the May/June time frame); The weather permits us to send them at the time; and if they are frost sensitive plants that the customer has somewhere to house them under glass until early summer. All new plant orders placed on our Web Site ask if you have a heated greenhouse/conservatory to help us with our shipping decisions.
PLEASE DO NOT chase any outstanding plant orders as we will drown with the extra workload, all orders are looked at regularly as we get nearer shipping and we will contact you when your plants are to be delivered. In particular orders with a wide range of plant varieties will all be later rather than sooner until all of the plants are ready to go. It is too expensive for us to partial ship plant orders unless of course the customer is willing to pay for the extra delivery. We propagate most of the plants ourselves but it is often difficult to produce saleable plants early in the year when they are tropical by nature and need warm sunny weather to bring them on, so please be patient with us.
