A cherry plum tomato often seen in supermarkets and considered to have an excellent taste but my opinion is that Floridity, Sungold and Rosada will all outshine this one for the best flavour. Worth a trial though as many people rate it.

An indeterminate (vining) cherry plum type, with small oval shaped fruits. Vibrant red colour and excellent flavour. Prolific cropper with large trusses. An improved alternative to the popular commercial variety F1 Santa.

As seen on Gardeners World TV, this is a Russian bred blight resistant, determinate variety with very high yields of small 1" sweet fruit of outstanding flavour. Early maturing with exceptionally high tolerance to blight. (Probably not totally immune as stated by Toby Buckland but nevertheless an excellent choice) Will thrive outside in wet seasons where other varieties fail. Grow in container on patio or in open beds. One other unique point is that tomatoes on each truss tend to ripen all at once.

The UK tomato fruit growers organisation hold tasting competitions each year and Sungold is one of the recent winners for best flavour. This vining tomato produces small, delicious tasting, cherry type, orange coloured fruits on long trusses that are ideal for salads.  Resistant to ToMV, Fol (1)

Probably the most popular amateur grown tomato. It produces early greenback free fruit of excellent quality and is suitable for cold glasshouse or outdoor culture in a warm position.

The best part of this large, crack-free tomato is its absolutely superb flavour. Bright red, firm, meaty fruits often weighing 1/2kg or more, and smooth, blemish-resistant skins. If you fancy trying to grow beefsteak tomatoes you have to try this one first. Best grown under glass

This is the first truly round black cherry tomato on the market with classic black tomato flavour, sweet yet rich and complex.

Small elongated to oval fruits that are deep mahogony with a very tasty sweet fruity flavour. Excellent as a snacking tomato or in salads and good crops of 50gm fruits can be expected under glass on 6ft plants. We found this tomato kept on the vine well with excellent flavour.

Compact plants bearing plenty of 100gm rich dark mahogony/brown tomatoes. Black tomatoes have a delicious blend of sugar and acid with a distinctive complex flavour. This one is reputed to have the best taste out of black tomatoes with medium sized fruit.

A Russian heirloom tomato with large mahogany red fruits that possess a unique, exceptional sweet taste with spicy and smoky undertones that are enhanced when dried. Heavy producer and early, Black Tula is a must for black tomato fans and those liking complex flavours in their tomatoes.

Determinate (Bush) type dwarf 12" high plants producing high yields of large cherry tomatoes. Great in salads or eating fresh. Perfect for indoor or patio containers. Requires no staking.

Chef Raymond Blanc set up a small-fruited tomato tasting panel in 2007 and top of the league was Floridity. A mini-plum type with a striking tomato aroma. Floridity has a long cropping season and being of medium height, should grow and crop well in a fairly large pot or planted. This remains my wifes favourite salad tomato despite many other variety trials but best grown under glass.

A popular tomato that we have been growing for many years with a simply outstanding flavour. Masses of sweet cherry tomatoes are produced on long trusses, and you can plant it outside or in a greenhouse. Try these  for breakfast, cut in half, microwaved and served on fresh buttered toast with a touch of salt and black pepper! This one is still my favourite!

Golden yellow, medium sized tomatoes which add colour to a salad and have a rich, fruity flavour all of their own. RHS Award of Garden Merit. Can also be grown outside.

A unique and delicious salad tomato. The 75gm green fruits ripen to amber-green with darker green stripes. The light green flesh is full of flavour, with a sweet yet zingy taste. This one is a really unusual tasty treat that you have to try!

Revolutionary bush variety that can even be produced in small 7-9cm pots, and produces a crop of around 40-plus cherry tomatoes per plant. Useful as a window sill plant, or for patio containers where space is limited.

This is a unique bicolour striped oxheart tomato that weigh 8 ozs. or more and are heart-shaped with smooth golden flesh marbled inside with streaks of red. They are delicious and sweet, somewhat fruity in flavour, and are meaty with very few seeds. Best under glass

A favourite Italian plum tomato with meaty flesh, few seeds and an excellent flavour. A determinate or bush type that can be grown without support in a sunny, sheltered spot outdoors. One of the best for sauces, pastes and home made ketchup. Fairly disease resistant with good sized fruits.

This greenhouse tomato is hard to beat, and has rapidly established itself as a real favourite. The plants are heavy cropping, robust and disease resistant, and the good-sized fruits have a lovely taste and texture. It is also a splendid variety for exhibitors and another tomato that we grow ourselves each year.

A cascading determinate type, highly productive and suitable for outdoor basket and container work. Sweet flavoured cherry red or yellow fruits which look very attractive on the plants and in salads.

This heirloom vining variety is said to be one of the best tasting, best producing gold-red bicolors. On top of that, the enourmous tomatoes are stunningly beautiful weighing at least a pound each. These golden yellow beefsteaks are streaked with red stripes that carry right through the flesh with a sweet and rich flavour and are heavy cropping.

Another unusual and rare large beefy tomato with a creamy white colour both inside and outside. Extremely mild and sweet because of the high sugar content. Fruits average 250gms and are quite meaty with very few seeds. Best under glass with huge fruits that turn creamy yellow with age.

An heirloom variety with miniature pear shaped tomatoes about 2" long and clear bright yellow in colour. The very sweet flavour plus the unusual shape makes them both ornamental and a useful crop. The tall plants best grown under glass produce a continual harvest until the end of the season as they are very robust and cool tolerant.
