Unfortunately Cheshunt Compound has now been withdrawn from sale because of EEC regulations. However this new Dithane alternative should do the trick for those difficult seedlings. Each sachet makes up 3 litre but we would thin out to 5 litre for a weak solution that could be used regularly on small seedlings until established. Sterilised compost is also a requirement for effective results. (Use your kitchen microwave on the compost, let it cool down and then use for seed sowing). This product can also be used to control blight etc on fruit crops.

25ml concentrate that will make up 50 litre of spraying solution
Control of insect pests is an essential part of successful plant cultivation. It is especially important indoors, in conservatories or in greenhouses where they favour the conditions and populations can explode. Until recently the only insecticide we had to control spider mite effectively was Dynamec but unfortunately this was very expensive and only available through the trade . Killermite concentrate contains the same active ingredient Abamectin making it highly effective against spider mite as well as Western Flower Thrips and Leaf Miner. This formulation is intended for ornamental plants under glass and is licenced for professional users. We offer 25ml of concentrate in a sample bottle for growers that would like to clear spider mite infestations on Conservatory ornamentals including Brugmansia and Banana plants at a sensible cost. Diluted at a rate of 0.5ml per litre and plants sprayed both sides of infected leaves. I have been using Abamectin for many years and so far not had any adverse reactions on tender conservatory plants.
Recent customer comment "I ordered some Killermite earlier in the week - it arrived this morning. I made the solution up immediately and sprayed the whole of the greenhouse (15x10ft). Until today I have had 5 years of sporadic Spidermite outbreaks (recently there has been a really serious problem). I've just been back out to the greenhouse - every trace of the Spidermites have vanished. This is the best purchase I have ever made for the greenhouse - just wish I had discovered sooner. I cannot recommend highly enough!!!
Based on many years of experience you normally only need small seed containers for initial germination in a propagator. For growing plants in larger quantities of course normal half or full size seed trays are ideal but for smaller quantities try using these clear polypropylene containers.
