Fennel is a hardy European perennial herb with erect growth and dark bronze feathery foliage. The fern-like leaves taste of aniseed and is used for flavouring fish, sauces, salads and vegetables, egg recipes. (Do not confuse with Florence Fennel that produces bulbous edible roots)
