Sophora tetraptera - a shrub or small tree of New Zealand and Chile with pendulous racemes of tubular golden-yellow flowers. Flowers earlier from seed than the NZ South Island macrophylla, but is not quite so hardy. Flowers of a deeper gold than macrophylla and a popular North Island garden plant.
