 A great addition as a foliage plant to a jungle style garden.  Responds well to pollarding once 3 or 4 years old.   Established plants can be pollarded down to around a foot each year. On an established 3 to 4 year or older tree, these can reach 14' in a single summer from a spring pruning with huge 2' to 3' leaves - a stunning display! Easily grown from seed but the young plants will not take beyond minus 10°C, so provide some care and protection in the first few years.
