From South East Asia, this palm can grow up to 8m tall in it's native habitat. often forming a number of trunks. It's name from it's fish tail like leaves. It is not hardy so will need to be kept frost free over the winter months. It can also be a very useful houseplant as it is relatively easy to grow and copes well with light levels indoors.
