A small, miniature feather palm, from south east Asia, Phoenix roebelenii has a slender trunk and can grow to about 10 feet in the wild, but more like 7ft in cultivation. Adaptable to a wide range of soils, it enjoys a sunny spot and can take some frost when mature. It's small stature makes it a good palm to grow in a pot too.
